3 Weeks Off

I havent climbed in 3 weeks. Its probably the longest off streak that I've had in 2 years of climbing. I've been really busy though and this down time has been eventful. First off, I started my last semester of undergrad stuff @ ESU. I'm excited and kinda freaking out about the uncertainty of the future. I've been trying to naild down a job in Alta, Ut for this winter at GMD, hopefully this will happen and Ill spend my winter dropping knees and ice climbing in the Wasatch Mountains. I've been working a lot as well, granted, I'm not working 40 hour weeks but they've been long enough to take up all of my time when I'm going to school too.

About the only fun I've had in the past few weeks is going down to New Egypt Speedway and helping out my friend by working as his pit crew for his races. It is a ton of work during the week and even more work every Saturday night. Its a good solid 6-8 hours of sweating my ass off and getting dirty as hell getting the car ready at the start of the night and in between each race. I love it and even though it does take time away from climbing, I would never exchange my time at the track for more time on the rock.

Even though I havent been climbing in the last few weeks, I have been thinking about it. I've got a new harness, and new pack, a new pair of shoes and a new boulder problem to work on. Im traveling to the Adirondacks this weekend to visit some friends and I'm gonna hit the rock , hard, but in a good way!

Climb on y'all
